Total Class Length: 12 hours
This is a continuation of Danny's Intermediate 1 class. You can join if you are comfortable with the following concepts: present, preterit, imperfect, por vs para, ser vs estar, future and conditional tenses, direct and indirect objects, reflexive verbs. Present and past perfect Commands This is a fun and challenging class. The class is about 80% in Spanish.

You can join if you have some previous Spanish experience in high school, college, or tutoring and/or if you are at least familiar with the present tense, the difference between ser and estar, and some basic vocabulary to express days of the week, parts of the body, some items in a house and food, basic greetings and questions, etc.

Total Class Length: 12 hours
(CEFR level A1+): This is a continuation of Danny's Beginner 2 class. You are not one of those people who start something and quit right away right? :) Give some continuity and a boost to your beginning journey in Spanish with this class! Perfect for people who took Spanish in high school or college years ago and finally want to get back into it or for people who are surrounded with Spanish because of a close relative, a coworker, or a loved one and can even understand a lot of it but have never quite taken the time and effort to get comfortable speaking it themselves. You can join if you are comfortable with the following concepts: present tense, past tense( at least the preterit and knowing about the existence of the imperfect) por vs para, ser vs estar, The verb tener, the verb hay, and reflexive verbs. This is fun and challenging with quite a bit of conversational practice. About 40-50 % of the class will be conducted in Spanish.

A continuation of Danny's previous groups. Students in this group are fully conversational in Spanish and have a command of all Spanish verb tenses and basic grammar. This is class conducted 95% in Spanish where we read news articles, watch youtube videos, and above all do a lot of conversations in Spanish. The goal of this session is to start mastering the use of pronouns and prepositions in Spanish and get better at learning and understanding idiomatic expressions.

This course is designed to empower students with an upper intermediate or advanced level in Spanish to discover the transformative potential of cinema as a vehicle for expressing ideas in a foreign language while simultaneously cultivating their ability to engage profoundly with personally resonant topics. Rooted in the genre of documentary filmmaking, students embark on a journey through the intricate layers of social and political issues. Raising dynamic discussions, the curriculum prioritizes in-depth analysis of cinematic works within their cultural and historical contexts. The course offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the learning process of Spanish through the rich history and culture of Spain and Latin America. This course is tailor-made for both cinema professionals and enthusiasts. The ultimate selection of documentaries is tailored to the individual profile of the participating student/group.

Spanish Intermediate IV (CEFR B1)

Total Class Length: 12 hours
(CEFR level B1) This is a continuation of Danny's Intermediate 3 class. You can join if you are comfortable with the following concepts: present, preterit, imperfect, future and conditional tenses, por vs para, ser vs estar, direct and indirect objects, reflexive verbs commands, Present and Past perfect, the present subjunctive and at least be familiar with, the passive voice and all the other subjunctive tenses. This is a fun and challenging class. The main goal of this class is to perfect and improve all the concepts we already know. This is the last intermediate class before we do our bridge class to get ready to enter the advanced levels. The class is about 80-90% in Spanish.

  • Group class lengths can vary please read class details!
  • Tuition payments are non-refundable and cannot be postponed to a future term. Let us know before the 2nd class if you don’t think its a good fit! If you want something more flexible try a private class!
  • Check the class details for text requirements set by the tutor.
  • If the minimum student requirement is not met, you will be offered shorter classes and/or private classes at a discount.
