- About: Hola, me llamo Scott. I learned Spanish as a missionary along the border of Mexico and the United States. I spent two years living in Spanish speaking communities and in doing so I became fluent in the Spanish language while also gaining an appreciation for Latin American culture. After returning home, I went to southern Mexico for four months as an intern for a company called Del Sol. After which, I enrolled at the University of Alacalá de Henares in Madrid, Spain. Upon returning to the United States I continued studying at Brigham Young University as a Spanish Major and Political Science Minor. I got my start teaching Spanish when I was selected to teach Spanish 101 as an undergrad at BYU and I have not looked back since. I love making my lessons fun and seeing the excitement on my student's faces as they learn to speak the language.
