In my childhood I remember using enormous power converters for our electronics that could double as radiators in cold weather. These days all you need to get your gadgets working is a borrowed power cord and your original adapter. I usually steal one off of my dad’s VCR. You can check your adapter to make sure this is ok. Voltage in Europe (Italy) is 220 volts, 50 cycles alternating current (AC). For comparison, in the United States it is 110 volts, 60 cycle AC current. Check to make sure the adapter says 110-220, which means that it is dual current. Word of warning, if it doesn’t say that, you will need an old fashioned converter!
