Thank you very much for your interest in my Japanese language lessons. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and have been living in Los Angeles since 2017. I graduated from the Department of Literature at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, and from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, USA. I have been teaching Japanese for over four years and have accumulated approximately 4,000 hours of teaching experience since 2020.

I have taught students ranging from 6 years old to over 60 in the United States and Canada, from beginner to advanced levels. I truly enjoy every class and have also learned a great deal from my students.

I listen carefully to each student to make every lesson meaningful. I focus on understanding my students’ interests and the direction they want to take in their studies. I always aim to make my lessons both fun and informative. I have experience teaching students with autism or ADHD, and while I am not a specialist, I do my best to support their individual needs.

I enjoy meeting new people and love talking about Japanese culture. Some of my students work in the entertainment industry, including actors, band members of world-famous Top 40 artists, and film composers who have business relationships with companies in Japan.

My favorite topics include Japanese movies (Ghibli, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Kokuho, Rental Family, Tokyo Vice), music (City Pop), food (ramen!), and tourism (I’m from Tokyo!).
