Ciao! I am Gabriele, native and qualified Italian teacher (with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in language teaching and a second Master in teaching Italian to foreigners).

What is your favorite word in your language and why?
I would say "studiare" (to study), because I like to study, learn new things, and improve myself

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
Definitively pizza, the best pizza I ever had!

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
I speak also German and a bit of French, although my skills are a bit rusty haha

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
I love playing guitar, practicing sport (cycling, boxing for fitness), reading and learning new things

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
I come from a small town called San Vito Sullo Ionio, I love it because it is close both to the mountains and to the seaside, and I love both. The city is peaceful and in the summer there are plenty of events
