Being myself multi-cultural and multi-lingual dual Canadian and Polish citizen, I will be most pleased to accompany you on your journey to learn English, French, German or Spanish. I fully understand the challenges of learning another language and am confident that I can help you. I am personally a very patient listener as well as being encouraging when going over together homework, written and reading exercises, etc. I prepare additional lessons and reading material on a topic that is of particular interest to the student or that can motivate him/her further.

What is your favorite word in your language and why?

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
Dumplings with mushrooms or blueberries.

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
Yes, I have also studied and have a good and basic knowledge of Arabic, Czech, Modern Greek, Italian, Portugese , Serbo-Croate and Russian.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
I collect postage stamps as cultural representatives of their countries. I enjoy gardening, travelling, meeting new people also through tutoring, I enjoy reading historical novels, archeological discoveries, etc..

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
I have two hometowns. Firstly, the original village in southern Poland where my mother comes from. Secondly, the small town called Atikokan in Northwestern Ontario, Canada where I grew up and finished high school. I like these places as they are part of my heritage and where I grew up.
