Hello my dear future students! My name is Tatyana, and I was born and grew up in the beautiful city of Kyiv, Ukraine, so I am a native Russian & Ukrainian speaker.

I am proud to be a Lomonosov Moscow State University-certified and seasoned instructor of Russian as a Foreign Language, a certified instructor of ESL (for Russian and Ukrainian speakers), and a native-speaking tutor of Ukrainian. I have been living for more than 30 years in the USA, where I earned a Ph.D. degree in Comparative Literature and previously two BA degrees, in English Language and Literature and in Slavic Languages and Literatures: Russian, from the University of Washington. Ever since, I’ve been teaching, writing in different genres (poetry, prose fiction, screenwriting, hot-topic articles), translating literary & fine arts works, and editing extensively.

Thus, I propose highly professional, both structured and entertaining lessons in Russian, Ukrainian, and ESL. You are welcome to my communicative-approach courses that will improve your pronunciation and listening perception, provide speech and grammar training, polish your conversational skills, enhance your reading and writing skills, enrich your vocabulary and knowledge of Russian, Ukrainian, or English literature and culture. I will create an individualized study program depending on your learning goals and proficiency level, and will provide you electronically with all learning materials: modern textbook lessons along with audio lessons, as well as additional enriching language and cultural information. To be ready for my online classes, you will only need to have a Zoom or Skype connection and a passion for the language of your choice.
