- About: Hejsan, my name is Martina. I was born and raised in Jönköping, Sweden. My love of the word led me to major in languages (Swedish, English, French, Spanish, Danish). After graduating with honors from Gothenburg University, I was awarded Rotary’s International Ambassadorial Scholarship. Before leaving Sweden, I taught English and Drama for several years. In Los Angeles I have been a teacher in a bilingual (English/Spanish) outreach program (ECT) for youth, as well as performed in voice-overs and on stage. I have also been translating, teaching and interpreting Swedish for the last few years. Teaching is great fun for me and a way to keep my language alive while hopefully increasing my students mastery and love of Swedish.
