This is a continuation of Danny's Beginner 2 class. You are not one of those people who start something and quits right away right? :) Give some continuity and a boost to your beginning journey in Spanish with this class! Perfect for people who took Spanish in high school or college years ago and finally want to get back into it or for people who are surrounded with Spanish because of a close relative, a coworker, or a loved one and can even understand a lot of it but have never quite taken the time and effort to get comfortable speaking it themselves. You can join if you are comfortable with the following concepts: present tense, past tense( at least the preterit and knowing about the existence of the imperfect) por vs para, ser vs estar, The verb tener, the verb hay, and reflexive verbs. This is fun and challenging with quite a bit of conversational practice. About 40-50 % of the class will be conducted in Spanish.

This 8-week class is intended for intermediate/advanced Spanish-speaking students. Do not be worried about the vocabulary or special expressions. We will read carefully the novel and also discuss the book during the class. One Hundred Years of Solitude "Cien años de soledad", is a 1967 novel by Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez that tells the multi-generational story of the Buendía family, whose patriarch, José Arcadio Buendía, founded the fictitious town of Macondo. The novel is often cited as one of the supreme achievements in world literature.

This is a continuation of Danny's Beginner 4 class. This is a fun and challenging class with a lot of conversational practice. The class is about 60-70% in Spanish. In this class, we will learn the present and past perfect tenses, and the use of commands and we will start to slowly dive into the world of the subjunctive. But beyond different grammar concepts the focus of gaining confidence and competence on the correct usage of all the basics we have previously learned. This class is sort of a bridge between the world of beginners and intermediates.

This is a continuation of Danny's Intermediate 3 class. You can join if you are comfortable with the following concepts: present tense, preterit, imperfect, future and conditional tenses, por vs para, ser vs estar, direct and indirect objects, reflexive verbs, commands, the present subjunctive, and at least you should be somewhat familiar with The passive voice and all the other subjunctive tenses. Basically, all the grammar there is to learn in Spanish. This class is mostly about perfecting and getting more comfortable with the concepts you already know. This is the last intermediate class before we do a bridge class to get to the advanced levels. This is a fun and challenging class. The class is about 80-90% in Spanish.

Throughout the 12-hour course, the main objective of this course is to encourage Spanish learners by building and strengthening their ability to communicate in Spanish. Students should have a basic foundation of the workings of Spanish language, including its grammar, with Intermediate-Low competence in listening, reading, writing, and speaking Students validate their skills by building and deepening language fluency. Additionally, they will develop methods and strategies to facilitate more fluent communication through practices of listening and reading. Tailored lesson content promotes active cultural exploration through conscious and reflective reading, listening, and writing activities. All activities are designed to help students build confidence and successfully use Spanish in real-world.

  • Group class lengths can vary, but are typically 8 weeks, 90 minutes each.
  • Tuition payments are non-refundable and cannot be postponed to a future term..

  • Minimum of 3 students for 12 hours – Options will be offered if enrollment is low, including shorter classes and/or private classes at a discount.
