- About: Hello! My name is Joanne. I have a B.A. from UC San Diego where I majored in Sociology and have over 13 years of experience in the social services field in California. Since the beginning of my career, I have worked closely with the Korean American community and the Korean language has a special place in my heart. I know that speaking and understanding any language is a powerful tool and I have made myself available to help people learn Korean and/or English. Previously, I taught TOEIC classes in South Korea, Korean school classes in Los Angeles and other one on one in person lessons for both children and adults. I like to draw, listen to music, jam out on my piano and watch Korean TV shows on my spare time. The Korean language is fun to learn and perhaps if you join me for the fun journey, maybe you will be able to learn to sing along to some K-pop or watch K-dramas without subtitles!
