Hello.How group classes work
Pick a class
Choose by language, level, schedule, and format — in-person at a teacher's home office or online via Zoom. CEFR levels help you land in the right starting spot.
Enroll online
Sign up for the full 8-week session. Early-bird pricing is available up until a couple weeks before class starts.
Show up and learn
Meet weekly with a small group and a native-speaking tutor. In-person groups meet at our teachers' home offices across LA; online groups meet on Zoom.
Group class FAQ
In-person or online?
Both. Most of our group classes are in-person at a teacher's home office — Silver Lake, West LA, Sherman Oaks, and around. Online groups meet on Zoom. Each class listing shows the format and location.
What if I'm not sure of my level?
We offer free online level tests for most of our languages. Take the test, or email us and we can help you figure out the right class based on your goals and background.
Can I join mid-session?
Typically no — group classes build on each week. But if a class is a good fit and only one or two weeks in, reach out and we'll check with the tutor. Starting fresh with the next 8-week session is usually the better call.
What if I miss a class?
The tutor can share materials from the session you missed. Refunds aren't available for missed classes, but you can usually arrange a 1:1 catch-up with the tutor at their private rate.
Group vs private lessons — which should I take?
Private is faster and more flexible. Group is more social, more affordable, and better for conversation practice. A lot of our students do both — private to move quickly, group to stay engaged and meet other learners.
Can you build a custom group class for my company or family?
Yes. With just 2+ students we can put together a semi-private class on your schedule, at your level, for any of our 50+ languages. Reach out and we'll scope it.

Don't see your language?
We teach 50+ languages privately and can build custom in-person or online group classes for companies, families, or friend groups with 2 or more students.
