Can I learn a language using only duolingo

Can you learn a language using only Duolingo? I will try with Japanese

Hello and welcome to our language blog. I love using Duolingo to check out languages and learn a little here and there. I’ve used it for Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and more. I find that it is a really fun way to get your beak wet with some new information and see if you are drawn to a particular language with no commitment. I have always been intrigued by Japanese culture, perhaps because I grew up watching Japanese cartoons dubbed in Italian (in the 1990s most kids’ programming in Italy was old Japanese re-runs).

Well, here is the challenge. I will use Duo Lingo for the next year to study Japanese. I will take at least 2 lessons a day and a year from now, I will check and see if I can hold a simple conversation. I am genuinely curious about this.
