Strømmen Group Classes are very lively, social, and even more affordable than our private classes. This isn't your high school language class (or classroom for that matter!) Meet at fun locations in Los Angeles. Group classes are 1.5 hours long and meet once a week, for 8 weeks (12 hours total)

During the 12-hour course, students will learn the fundamentals of French through listening, repetition, reading and writing French. Students will be introduced to simple vocabulary, conjugation and elementary grammatical structures. Additionally, students will begin to develop methods and strategies in order to build self-confidence and deepen their linguistic fluidity. In each step of the target language learning process. students will develop more autonomy.
Course description
Our tailor-made courses will help students to explore French culture through reflective reading, listening and writing activities. At each stage of the learning process, students will develop important comprehension and communication skills. We want them to be able to face real-life situations with the French language really fast.

This class is for complete beginners or those that want to review from zero. Let's dive into French focusing on a perfect accent and learning words and expressions that will help you to unlock conversational skills. This Group is for those completely new to French or looking for a refresher.

YOUR FRENCH ESSENTIALS: Learn greetings and how to navigate the cultural differences of introducing oneself in French, how to talk about the weather, likes and dislikes, appearance and personality. You will also learn the basics of conjugation, including the verbs to be and to have, numbers, and how to ask basic questions, order in a cafe, etc. Texts required, some online content provided.

For advanced students (B2 and beyond). This class is intended for you to speak as much as possible.
You are going to read a francophone literary work that we will choose according to the group’s interests. In class you will share your favorite passages and explain why you found them interesting. Your instructor will be available to provide contextual elements, literary commentaries and historical framework where needed, while also correcting and supporting grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary throughout the class.

We will consolidate skills learned in FRENCH 1 and expand vocabulary, explore other types of verbs in the present and the future, learn how to tell the time and express possession. We’ll practice some basic conversation and do some exploration of French culture and way of life. Texts required, some online content provided. Throughout the 12-hour course, the main objective of this course is to encourage French learners by building and strengthening their ability to communicate in French. Students should have a basic foundation of the workings of French language, including its grammar, with Intermediate-Low competence in listening, reading, writing, and speaking
Students validate their skills by building and deepening language fluency. Additionally, they will develop methods and strategies to facilitate more fluent communication through practices of listening and reading.

- Group classes are 8 weeks, 90 minutes each.
- Tuition payments are non-refundable and cannot be postponed to a future term. No credit or refunds can be given in any form.

- Minimum of 3 students for 12 hours - Options will be offered if enrollment is low, including shorter classes and/or private classes at a discount.
