Spanish interpreters in Los Angeles.
Court-certified Spanish interpreters for depositions and hearings, broadcast-ready Spanish for fight nights and press days, and the medical, business, and community work in between. The deepest bench on our roster.
About
More Spanish work than any other language
Roughly four in ten Los Angeles County residents speak Spanish at home. That single fact drives most of the interpreting market here. LA Superior Court runs Spanish matters every day of the week, law firms depose Spanish-speaking witnesses constantly, and when a Spanish-speaking fighter wins at a local arena, the broadcast needs someone on comms within seconds.
Because the demand is constant, the Spanish interpreter pool in LA is the deepest of any language, and ours reflects that. Spanish is the language we staff most, which means faster turnarounds and interpreters who have already worked the exact setting you're hiring for. When the Ronda Rousey fight at the Intuit Dome needed live Spanish coverage on the broadcast, ours was on the earpiece.
One thing a deep bench buys you that a directory can't: variety matching. A deposition witness from Guadalajara, a corporate delegation from Madrid, and a boxer from Buenos Aires all speak Spanish, but not the same Spanish. We ask where your speaker is from and match accordingly, because a certified interpreter who also sounds natural to the witness gets cleaner answers on the record.
For legal settings, Spanish is one of California's designated certified languages, meaning the interpreter must pass the state's court certification exam, not just claim fluency. Every Spanish interpreter we send to a courtroom or deposition carries that credential.

Why Strommen
A vetted roster, not a marketplace.
Founder-vetted, every one
Strommen is not a marketplace. Garrett Strommen has run this roster personally since 2006. Every interpreter we send has been vetted by the founder, and most have worked with us for years.
Court-certified where it counts
For legal settings we staff California court-certified and registered interpreters: the credential LA Superior Court and federal courts actually require, not a self-declared specialty.
NDA-bound as standard
Two decades of film, TV, and legal work means confidentiality is the default. Our interpreters sign NDAs routinely and are used to pre-release material and sealed matters.
LA-anchored, worldwide
Based in Los Feliz, staffing Los Angeles daily, and on location nationwide or abroad when the job travels. Travel is billed transparently on the quote.

FAQ
Spanish interpreting questions.
Are your Spanish interpreters court-certified?
For legal work, yes. Spanish is a designated certified language in California, so courtroom and deposition assignments require an interpreter who has passed the state court certification exam. That's who we send. For non-legal settings, we match by experience in that environment instead.
Which Spanish? My witness is from El Salvador, not Spain.
Tell us where your speaker is from and we match the interpreter accordingly. Mexican, Central American, Caribbean, South American, and Castilian Spanish are all mutually intelligible, but word choice and pacing differ enough that testimony flows better when the witness isn't translating the interpreter in their head.
How fast can you staff a Spanish interpreter?
Faster than any other language. Same-week is routine and next-day is often possible, because the Spanish bench is the deepest one we have. For a specific certified interpreter or a multi-day booking, a week of lead time is still the safe call.
What does a Spanish interpreter cost in Los Angeles?
We quote per project, in half-day and full-day blocks that cover up to 8 hours. Spanish sits in our most accessible tier because the supply is deep. Certified legal work and broadcast simultaneous bill at a premium over general consecutive. No coordination fees, no booking deposits.
Do you handle remote or video interpreting?
Yes. Zoom depositions, remote IMEs, video conferences, and satellite broadcast hits. Same interpreters, on your link. For court proceedings, confirm the judge's remote-interpreting rules first and we'll work within them.
I need a document translated, not a meeting interpreted. Same team?
Same company, different specialists. Interpreting is spoken, translation is written, and we staff them separately. For birth certificates, contracts, or court filings in Spanish, see our translation services page or send the document for a quote.
