I'm the italian teacher for you

My name is Andrea Padovani. I worked as an Italian Language Assistant at the University of Greenwich in London for two years, ending my contract on 30 June 2013. I have accumulated international experience as an Italian Language Teacher in Poland, Austria, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
My initial and most significant teaching experience occurred during my training period in my hometown, where I worked with emigrants from North Africa, Eastern Europe, and India who came to work. These students often had limited educational backgrounds and faced challenging personal circumstances. Following this experience, I pursued further professional development in teaching at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice and the University for Foreigners of Siena.
I am passionate about teaching because it allows me to interact with students from diverse backgrounds and learn about different cultures and languages. At the University of Greenwich, I dedicated myself to creating lesson materials, booklets, and educational games for use during talk sessions. Additionally, I assisted and advised students on selecting and utilizing resources (books, DVDs, CDs) available at the language center, primarily for Italian but also for French, Spanish, and English.
Throughout my tenure, I gained valuable insights from colleagues, including teachers, students, librarians, and administrative staff. I developed skills in library management, language software, handout editing, Moodle usage, liaising with Italian publishing houses, and effectively supporting students, particularly during stressful periods close to deadlines.
