Hello, I am Christiana, a TEFL-certified English teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education. I have experience teaching both children and adults, helping learners improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
My lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning needs. I am patient and encouraging, and I create a comfortable environment where students can participate freely, learn from their mistakes, and develop confidence in speaking English.
I am passionate about education and committed to helping every learner achieve meaningful progress while enjoying the learning process. I look forward to supporting students as they work toward their personal, academic, and professional goals.

What is your favorite word in your language and why?
Word: Ima (Ibibio) Meaning: Love / Affection Why it's my favorite: To me, Ima means having an overflowing heart and having enough love, warmth, and patience to give out to my students and everyone around me.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
My Favorite dish from my hometown is Afia-efere ebot, meaning white soup with goat And yes, you can get it in any African restaurant.

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
Yes. In addition to English, I speak Ibibio, my native language, as well as Nigerian Pidgin. Having a multilingual background helps me deeply understand the second-language acquisition journey, empathize with pronunciation and grammar hurdles, and bring rich cultural awareness into my teaching

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing books, and exploring AI content creation. I also love mentoring individuals and families in my community, baking, cooking traditional meals, attending church, and spending quality time with my family.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
I consider Akwa Ibom and Ibibio my hometown. I love it because the people are remarkably empathetic, compassionate, and welcoming. It is a vibrant, peaceful community built on mutual respect and genuine care for others.
