What is your favorite word in your language and why?
My favorite Chinese word is 家. It not only means a house, but also stands for family and warmth. No matter where I go or how difficult life is, family is always my safest harbor. This short single word holds the softest love and the strongest support in Chinese culture.

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
Besides Chinese, I am currently learning English. I study it every day to improve my listening and speaking skills. It helps me communicate with more people It lets me feel close to my old home.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
My favorite dish from my hometown is steamed dumplings. They are soft, juicy and full of homemade flavor. This dish reminds me of my childhood and warm family meals. Now I live in a different city, but there is a nice local restaurant nearby. It makes authentic hometown-style dumplings. Whenever I miss my hometown, I will go there to have a taste. It lets me feel close to my old home.

Outside of teaching, I love trying new things and experiencing different lifestyles. I enjoy traveling to explore local cultures and special customs. I also love spending time and playing with my dog in my free time. I have an open mind and a rich imagination. These hobbies bring me lots of inspiration and make my life full of joy.

consider NanJing my hometown. It is a quiet and beautiful city with gentle scenery and slow-paced life. I love it because it is warm and peaceful. It holds all my sweet memories, simple daily moments and quiet happiness. The local lifestyle is relaxing, and it always makes me feel safe and at ease
