My name is Rhita and I am an experienced ESL educator with over seven years of teaching experience, helping students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds achieve their language goals. I hold two master's degrees (in Business Management and Translation Studies) and am currently pursuing a PhD in Translation Studies, which has strengthened my expertise in research, communication, and learner-centered instruction.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of various ages, proficiency levels, and professional backgrounds. My lessons are tailored to each learner's needs, whether the focus is conversational fluency, academic English, business communication, exam preparation, grammar, pronunciation, or writing skills.
I am passionate about helping learners become confident English speakers and look forward to supporting you on your language-learning journey.

What is your favorite word in your language and why?
ياسمين (transcription: Yāsamīn) / jasmin (in French): beautiful and fragrant flower, the word is melodic, and evokes sensory connections

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
Fish bastilla - a phyllo-like pastry, filled with fish, seafood and vermicelli that is deliciously spicy and aromatic

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
I speak Arabic (both classical and Moroccan dialect) as well as French.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
I love reading, playing the guitar, music, art and nature walks.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
Casablanca, the busiest and most vibrant city in Morocco; it has hidden architectural gems (like Art Deco buildings) and overlooks the Atlantic ocean.
