What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?

J'adore la rouille. C'est du poulpe (octopus) avec des patates (potatoes) et un aïoli (strong garlic mayonnaise) . Ã servir tiède ou froid. Idéal pour les grands repas entre amis. ( ideal for large meals with friends).

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?

I've learnt german and spanish at school. And some spanish on my own because we live close to the border and i love Spain

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?

➤ Cinéma : Le vrai ! De Frank Capra à Jeff Nichols, en passant par les italiens, les japonais (Ozu) et la nouvelle vague. ➤ Musique : Classique ! De la musique ancienne au romantisme français en passant par l’opéra baroque et Puccini avec une préférence pour la musique vocale en général. ➤ Cuisine : La pâtisserie et les plats roboratifs pour manger à plusieurs sans trop s’en occuper (daube à l’orange, blanquette, pot-au-feu avec de vrais bons légumes). ******* ➤ Cinema : The real thing! From Frank Capra to Jeff Nichols, including Italians, Japanese (Ozu) and of course the french new wave. ➤ Music : Classic! From early music to French romanticism through baroque opera and Puccini with a preference for vocal music in general. ➤ Kitchen : Pastries and delicious dishes to eat with several people without taking too much care of them (orange stew, blanquette, pot-au-feu with real good vegetables).

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?

J'habite à Aigues Mortes un village fortifié au milieu des marais de Camargue, riche en tradition (toros). La ville est touristiques mais a su garder son esprit village. Ici tout le monde se connait et s'appelle par son surnom (La Sagne, Trois Poulets). Elle est idéalement située entre la mer et les Cévennes. ***** I live in Aigues Mortes, a fortified village in the middle of the Camargue marshes, rich in tradition (toros). The town is touristy but has managed to keep its village spirit. Here everyone knows each other and calls each other by their nickname (La Sagne, Trois Poulets). It is ideally located between the sea and the Cévennes.
