Hello, My name is Rommel. I am from the Philippines. Let's learn together English and or Tagalog if you wish it, I'll be glad to teach you my language. I have been in the BPO industry for almost 2 decades, I started as an outbound marketing associate and moved up to analyst and eventually a coach supervisor. I have been a coach supervisor mentoring more than 100 agents in the 2 decades I have served the industry. Customer Service and Technical support are the two L.O.B's (Line Of Business) I have handled. Both international accounts EMERSON and VERIZON were just amongst the 2 international accounts that I handled. Career and development of people are my main target. To make people successful on their careers and improve as well quality of work out put for the company.
In my classes, It'll be fun, engaging and interactive and we will explore a variety of topics to enhance grammar, listening, and speaking skills, improving your conversational abilities. So, helping you achieve your language goals is my passion.

What is your favorite word in your language and why?
My favorite word in my language is "Kalayaan" Kalayaan means FREEDOM. Kalayaan is what each Filipino people strive, both in heart and in spirit.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
My favorite dish is what my mom cooks every Friday. it's munggo or mung beans. Its very delicious and rich specially if you put Chicharon (pork cracklings or pork rinds) in it and some bitter gourd (Ampalaya). Some restaurant serves this dish but I'm sure none will be as delicious as how my mom cooks it.

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
I studied some Spanish way back in college. But, i guess this is a bit rusted and needs a good freshening up.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
My interests are design making, digital arts and or graphics generation. I still play games during my spare time. one does not forget the young heart I have for games and relive those moments when I was a kid. brings back fond memories every time I play.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
Marikina has always been my hometown. I love it here. The cleanliness and orderliness is top notch!
