Tutor Bio
Hello, my name is Daniel, I'm from Santander, Spain. I am a novelist, I published my first book, "La maldición Gitana" in 2018, then I published the second part "La Flor y Nata" in 2019. After that I published "El Azote de los Modernos" in 2021. Then I published "Ansiedad, Hipocondría y experiencias sexuales traumáticas" in 2023. In 2019 my wife ( who's also a Spanish teacher) encouraged me to start teaching Spanish, since I'm really good with languages and Spanish is my main working tool. So she taught me her brilliant method, which works really well and makes students learning very fast. So I've been teaching Spanish ever since, not only because I love it, but also because I think teaching Spanish matters.
I also organize activities on the weekends, like:
Book Clubs, since I'm a writer, I write a short story in Spanish, tailored to the students level, they have about 2 to 3 weeks to read it and then we do a google Meet call all together to discuss the story. Students love this activity because they reinforce their Spanish, learn expressions and sayings, learn how to deep think in Spanish and interact with other students.
I also do Film Clubs, I choose a Spanish movie, they watch it with Spanish subtitles and then we get together and talk about the film. Watching movies is a vital activity to learn a language and having a teacher who explains every single expression or advanced vocabulary is key to move forward with te language.
I also do Speakings, groups of three students on the same level, I pick a subject like movies, artist, music, traveling, food, fashion, theatre, cars, guitars... you name it, and we talk about it and they learn lots of specific vocabulary.

I love the word «correveidile», I don´t think there's a direct translation, but it means corre- run , ve- go, y dile – and tell them. So a correveidile is a nosy person who can not keep a secret .
