I am a native and experienced Spanish teacher who enjoys teaching Spanish very much to students and travelers from around the world. I am a professional business administrator but at the same time a lover and passionate for teaching Spanish language and Latin culture. During the last 20 years I have worked as an international language and cutural exchage programs coordinator as well as Spanish teacher (teaching to students of different ages and levels).

What is your favorite word in your language and why?
¡Tú puedes hacerlo! (you can do it) . It is a motivational statement, suggesting that with focus, determination, and effort, you can achieve almost anything you desire. It is a way to encourage overcoming the setbacks that arise in life.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
Ceviche, a popular Ecuadorian dish, is typically made with fresh, raw fish or shrimp cured in citrus juices, often lemon and orange, and seasoned with ingredients like onions, cilantro, and chili peppers (optional)

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
I speak a little bit of german and I am able to undeerstan portuguese and italian.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
To work for a great company, become one of the best tutors and have the oppportunity to share the Latin Ecuadorian culture.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
Although I have traveled to other cities (inside and outside of Ecuador) for long terms, Quito has been and is my great hometown.
