Harvard-trained tutor for English literature, voice, and dialects

Hi there! My name is Lize, pronounced like “fleecy,” and I moved to LA after graduating from Harvard / the American Repertory Theater Institute with an MFA. Previously I lived in New York, Australia, and South Africa, and spent a semester in Moscow studying Chekhov. Shakespeare is my playground, and I love to work with students in bringing the classics to life. I have a strong facility with dialects and use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to teach new accents as well as accent reduction. I am also an Afrikaans speaker/translator.
