What is your favorite word in your language and why?
Itajipa- It shall come through. A Swahili word used in Sheng to imply that good things will one day come through.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
I love Ugali and Nyama choma, with veggies served at La Paz restaurant.

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
Yeah, my mother's tongue: Luhya. It is spoken in Western Kenya by the second most populous tribe in Kenya.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
I do translation and interpretation. I love cars and restoring old ones. I am currently working on Audi A4 b6 1.9 tdi.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
Nairobi, this is a vibrant city where opportunities knock on your door if you are good at what you do. Nairobians are funny and welcoming, and Nyama choma is amazing.
