Learn more about Natalia

  • What is your favorite word in your language and why?

My favourite word in Russian is BLAGODARJU (which means THANKS in English) because it consists of 2 words: BLAGO (which means BLESSING) and DARJU (which means PRESENT/GIVE AS A GIFT). So, while pronouncing it each time, you are not just polite, you bless people around.

  • What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?

    Cabbage pie (PIROJOK)

  • Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?

I'm studying French. In my opinion it isn't an easy languge, so, it's kind of challenge for me.

  • What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?

I like travelling and photography, so, by learning different culture and visiting new places, you start feeling joy and inspiration.

  • What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?

My hometown is Yaroslavl, an ancient Russian city on the banks of the great Russian river Volga. It is famous for its touristic attractions and beautiful sites. It is the capital of "The Golden Ring" (unit of the most ancient Russian cities in the central part of the country). I love it with all my heart and living in France, I miss it a lot!
