Tutor Bio

I've taught or tutored English as an additional language (EAL/ESL/EFL) for over 30 years in China, the U.S. (Hawaii, Northern Mariana Islands, Georgia, Texas, and Arizona), S. Korea, Armenia, and N. Macedonia---in person and online. American English is my first language, but I've been speaking Mandarin Chinese for most of my life, and I've studied a variety of other languages. I have a B.A. in Asian Studies and a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). While I'm currently teaching English online, I'm also a full-time graduate student at the University of Arizona, pursuing a Master of Arts in TESL, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
