I am a trilingual language & dialect coach for private students, actors, writers, producers & directors.
My clients include Al Pacino, Colin Farrell, Priyanka Chopra, The Russo Brothers and many other A-Listers.
I have native fluency in Spanish, German & English incl. many combinations of dialects & accents. I'm also a localization specialist for Film, Television, IP, Multimedia & Technology platforms with over 20 years experience.
I was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. Due to my dad's international work I had the great fortune to grow up with 3 languages from an early age. After primary school in Germany, we moved abroad and I attended Colegio Humboldt in Mexico City and later Colegio Goethe in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up a German Latino was a fantastic experience.
I specialize in a real creative approach when teaching a language. Conversation and interaction make us connect with a language, the people, and their culture, more so than purely studying grammar books. Just as I learned early on, once you think in a new language do you become connected with it.
I look forward to helping you become one with a new language and feel like you're becoming a local.

What is your favorite dish from your hometown? If you no longer live there is there a good local restaurant that serves it?
Asado de tira, which are Argentinian short ribs. The best local Argentinian restaurant is Mercado Buenos Aires in Van Nuys.

Pisolino (nap) - Sounds cute and who doesn't love naps?

Besides the languages you teach, do you speak or study any other languages?
Not actively but can get by in Italian and Portuguese because I studied Latin for a few years in high school.

What are your interests outside of teaching at Strommen?
Tech startups, entertainment, finance and Formula 1 racing.

What do you consider your hometown? Why do you love it?
A difficult question since my family moved around a lot to different countries. But Los Angeles has been home for many years with Spain being my second home base.
